The Wallhouse Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

The room was spacious, quiet, clean and relaxing. Good view and in a great location. The lady (Margaret) that ran the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. It was like she was a step ahead of me on everything I needed. I will definitely come back here on my next trip. We arrived on a Sunday evening and in Amish Country everything is shut down on Sunday. They provided a meal for us to make our stay that much more relaxing and less stressful. After a long drive it was nice to not worry about finding a location to eat.

This was our second stay at the Wallhouse Hotel and I will definitely go back again. Our room was great…big king bed and a zero-edge walk-in shower. What I appreciated the most were the two recliner/rockers in our room. Most hotels have a desk chair and an arm chair for seating and that’s just not comfortable, nor is sitting on the bed. It was great to be able to sit comfortably with my feet up after being on the go all day.

I loved how clean and quiet it was. It was the beginning of the off season in Amish country, but everything was still open as if it were the middle of summer. The pool and hot tub were heated and indoors but they have a beautiful sundeck and patio with lots of chairs and a couple of fire pits too. The staff was helpful and super friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located across the highway from the Der Dutchman restaurant and is very central. 5 miles both ways from Sugarcreek and Berlin.

Modern appliances and the balcony. My 9 year old granddaughter loved the eggs for breakfast and she is hard to please. Loved the fact the pool and hot tub is open late so you can go to shops and still have plenty of time to swim. It's close to shops and the shows. The nice lady at the desk said there is 24 hour hot chocolate and coffee.

I like staying here. The facilities are good. Breakfast is good. It is quiet. It's very clean. I like the outside sitting area. If you know the area it is close to a lot of Amish country. It is always a 10 for me here. The only reason I might not stay is if the rate is high on a particular day (which means other places are also high) I will find something else or wait for a better day rate. I stayed at the Ritz on Grand Cayman and it's not as nice as the Wall house.
